You probably didn't notice the work being done in recent weeks - but certainly will next spring! The Lordship Improvement Association (LIA) recently aerated and overseeded the large grassy area at the Russian Beach Bluffs with Grid Iron grass seed - a mix of Bluegrass and Ryegrass designed for heavy foot traffic and good drought resistance. And, more daffodils were planted along the Bluffs edge for about 50 feet on either side of the flagpole. This complements the existing beautiful field of daffs that spring up there every year. Note: The LIA's Lordship beautification and conservation projects are supported by member dues and sales of the LIA's annual calendar (now at the Lordship Corner Market and Breezy Point Auto Repairs). PS: Thanks to photographer extraordinaire Carol DeCapua for letting us share this earlier photo of daffodils on the Bluffs. www.LordshipCT.org.
