The Lordship Improvement Association (LIA) extends a BIG, BIG THANK-YOU to the more than 40 volunteers who worked together last Saturday to clean up winter trash and debris on the Lordship Bluffs. Enthusiastic neighbors got the job done.
This event marked the start of the LIA’s Lordship Bluffs Restoration Project, a long-range endeavor focusing on managing invasive species, planting native trees and shrubs, enhancing pollinator habitats, mitigating weather-related damage and reestablishing our wildlife corridor.
Next up: May 3 – Russian Beach clean-up, followed by twice monthly workgroups (dates to be announced). You can just show up to help, or volunteer in advance by writing to LordshipIA@gmail.com. Prior to May 3, volunteers will be identifying native and invasive plants that are returning to the Bluffs slope. We greatly appreciate the many who’ve already volunteered!
