Emily Barksdale is an illustrator based in Southern Connecticut.
She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2017 with a BA in English with a minor in Film Studies, and earned an MA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2019.
She is heavily influenced and inspired by the literature, films, folk stories, Celtic oral traditions and ancient druidic religious practices that she studied during her time in school, and these elements often pop up in her illustration work.
Working mostly digitally, her illustrations are often character-based, colorful and narrative-driven. From Pin-Ups to Children’s Illustrations, and sci-fi stories to folktales, she loves to have fun and tell a story with my work!
She was also the graphic designer for the LIA's 2021 Lordship Community Calendar and 2022 Lordship History Calendar.
